Debtors
Represent individuals and small businesses as debtors in Chapters 7, 11, and 13
as follows:
- Help individuals in Chapter 7 stop continued collection actions such as phone calls, wage garnishments, bank levies, and lawsuits, and obtain a discharge of certain debt such as credit cards and medical bills. Help individuals in Chapter 13 stop foreclosures and work out a plan to cure their mortgage arrears either through payments over time or through the sale or refinance of their house. Can also help them propose a payment plan to payoff all or a potion of their credit card debt over time.
- Help businesses obtain relief and provide for their orderly liquidation in Chapter 7 or or restructure their debts in Chapters 11 or 13.
